A New Horizon for Conservation
Today is Earth Day 2025, a day to broaden, educate, and activate the environmental movement worldwide. The day calls on the conservation community - and everyone who cares about our Mother Earth - to action and a renewed commitment to protecting our natural resources.
Today is also a day for new ideas and innovation to embrace our environmental opportunities with new hope. Conservation is at a crossroads and now, as ever, the conservation community is looking for new voices and innovative ideas. While policy-based and market-based approaches fluctuate, we remain steadfast in our commitment to promote environmental conservation through generosity, organizing, and voluntary action.
That’s why this moment calls us to launch a new approach, one that is simple in concept and promising in practice. Introducing: Conservation Philanthropy, a new platform for environmental innovation that centers the interconnected nature of the entire philanthropic ecosystem.
Our symbol reflects the interconnections between land, waters, and sky, with all directions coming together in a circle of community spirit that connects all living creatures.
This project is in early-stage development and will take time to formalize. The general idea is to structure the organization like a community foundation, to unlock the full potential of the nonprofit sector to support people and organizations with a new platform to build community-based solutions.
We encourage everyone to reach out with ideas, to get involved, and eventually to donate. We need everyone to bring creative new ideas to our conservation challenges and opportunities.
Join us on this new horizon, for future generations and a healthy quality of life for all.
